HIGH SPEED DYNAMIC BALANCING OF ROTORS
We undertake Dynamic Balancing of the Rotors in Vacuum Tunnel at Operating Speeds as per International Standards API ; DIN; ISO.
Operating Speed Balancing will increase reliability of Rotors and enables precise measurement of the Rotor Dynamics. Balancing at lower speeds cannot offer the same accuracy, as it cannot account for shaft deflections at operating speed, which creates excess vibration.
Operating speed balancing of Rotor will help in ascertaining the soundness of the Rotor with respect to Rotor Dynamics before putting the rotor in operation and prevents time-consuming field runs.
Hence, we recommend, "rated speed balancing of rotors for healthy and reliable operation".
LOW SPEED DYNAMIC BALANCING
We are also equipped with Low Speed Dynamic Balancing. We can take up balancing of jobs weighing upto 35 tonnes with lengths upto 7000 mm. The maximum diameter can be upto 3000 mm. We can balance upto 1500 rpm. The quality will be of grade 0.5 as per International Standards.
THERMAL STABILITY TEST
Due to long storage or abnormal changes in operational parameters such as pressure and temperature or abnormal changes in startup or shutdown activities or due to sudden quenching of rotors due to malfunctioning of drains, the rotors can get bent.
This results in non-coaxial Geometric axis and mass axis of the rotor and ultimate rejection of rotors for operation. When geometric axis and mass axis are varying, there will be non-uniform metallurgical transformation with respect to geometric axis resulting in non-uniform stresses.
We have established computer based thermal stability test facility with online digital display monitoring of run-out measurement as per the latest technology from our collaborators. In our unique facility built for Rotor bend removals, we undertake removal of bend in the Rotors by predetermined thermal cycles till the bend is brought down to the design values. This makes the rotors to operate at original specifications.
MATERIAL DEPOSITION :Materials are deposited to various components for dimensional restoration, wear resistance etc.
IN HOUSE R&D LABS :Our Senior Executives with decades of association with Steam and Gas Turbines and Compressors have developed new technologies in the refurbishment areas for the first time in the country in our IN HOUSE R & D LABS, which are approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology; which are now widely used on different rotating equipments.
NON-DESTRUCTIVE TEST (NDT) FACILITIES
We are equipped with latest NDT facilities manned by Level II and Level III experts.
LIQUID PENETRANT TEST :It is carried out by visual or Fluorescent dyes as per International Standards.
ULTRASONIC TESTING: It is carried out by pulse echo contact technique with a Microprocessor based Ultrasonic Flaw Detector as per International Standards.
MAGNETIC PARTICLE TESTING: It is carried out with Heavy Duty magnetizer of 1500 amps AC/HV DC, as per International Standards.
IN-SITU METALLOGRAPHY: It is carried out with field microscope to assess the structure for metallurgical / thermal damages, if any.
HARDNESS SURVEY: Hardness measurements are taken by using Dynamic Hardness Tester equipped with special Electronic controls having direct digital Display in Vickers / Rockwell Scales.
ROTOR REPAIRS: Different types of Rotors are taken up for Repair and Reconditioning activities like Reblading, Rotor Bend removal, Rotor Refinning, Burnishing of journals, Residual Life Evaluation, Dynamic Balancing of Rotors and Replacement of Rotor Shafts for Turbo machines of different services and brands.
CASING REPAIRS
Different types of casings are undertaken for Repair and reconditioning activities like arresting of Steam / Gas leakages through parting plane by building up material, scrapping, Hydraulic Pressure testing, re-blading, Residual Life Evaluation etc., on Turbine, Compressor and Pump Casings of different brands.
NATURAL FREQUENCY TESTING :Natural Frequency Testing of Blades is taken up for ascertaining the soundness of Blade rigidity and root fixing with years of operation.
ENGINEERING SUPPORT We are having Engineering Experts with decades of experience in Designs, Strength and Thermodynamic Calculations of Turbo machines equipped with latest computer software facilities. Also equipped with Replica Techniques and profile magnifications for accurate Reverse Engineering activities.
THIRD PARTY INSPECTIONS :We undertake third party inspections in the field of manufacture and functional testing of Turbo machines.
CLEANING OF TURBOMACHINE INTERNALS

High Pressure Water Jet mixed with fine quartz sand is ideal cleaning system for Turbine Blades, Heat Exchangers, Condensers & Pressure Vessels. Cleaning is also done by dry method by using GRIT blasting with the help of Aluminium Oxide Crystals.
CONDITION ASSESSMENT AND EVALUTATION OF RESIDUAL LIFE
